Stories of our journey

Welcome to the reason why we have set up this homepage – we want to let you be part of our sailing voyage on our Kelly Peterson 44. Be it with good or bad news, if possible we’ll try to keep you updated with new sailing blog updates on a weekly basis about our experiences we make along the way.

Start here from the beginning…

Plus One And Minus One Equals One

While David leaves Milagros for 2 weeks, our good friend Nicole from Switzerland visits me. Together we immerse ourselves in sailing life – with an unexpected ending. And I spontaneously travel to the USA.

The Kingdom of El Mero

What or where is that, you might wonder? We spent the holidays there with cruiser friends, boat projects and some sailing.

Margaritas, Upgrades and Back Pains

A 3-Star Experience in Guaymas

We spend some time on the hook and then move to an interesting marina in Guaymas where we celebrate David’s birthday.

Jet Start Into The Second Season

We are back with Milagros in Mexico and wake her up from her summer hibernation. From experience we expect the worst with all the work ahead of us. Will our fears come true?

Our Unique Life On A Sailboat – Looking Back

David too looks back on our very first season of life on a sailboat. It was challenging, fun, exhilarating, life changing.

Living on a Sailboat: 1.5 Crazy Years in Retrospect

We are back in Switzerland for a summer break. It’s an escape from the Mexican heat, but also a bit from life on the boat. Now it’s time to reflect about living on a sailboat full time for 1.5 years.

Back on Dry Land – Our First Season is Over!

The time had come. Our very first season on Milagros was about to end. But first, we had to get Milagros ready for their summer hibernation.

Change of Plans and Background Noise

We’re spending a week at the Santa Rosalia Marina before crossing the Sea of Cortez where we plan to haul out Milagros for the summer break.
