Da gabs schon mal die erste \u00dcberraschung: Die Ankerkette hatte sich einmal um den Anker gewickelt. Wir wissen nicht, wie lange das schon so war. Es muss entweder direkt beim Anker lichten oder irgendwann w\u00e4hrend dem La Paz Walzer passiert sein. Wir hatten grosses Gl\u00fcck, dass unser Anker trotzdem hielt und nicht bei einer Drehung der Str\u00f6mung ausgerissen ist. Denn mit der herumgewickelten Kette konnten wir ihn nicht komplett hochziehen. Mit zwei Leinen h\u00e4ngte ich den Anker auf und konnte so die Kette l\u00f6sen. Die Schwierigkeit war sicherzustellen, dass der Anker nicht die Farbe vorne am Bug besch\u00e4digte, denn durch die Bewegungen des Schiffes und Wellen baumelte der 30 kg Koloss hin und her. Doch die Aktion gelang und wir konnten den Anker hochziehen. Diese Art von Wind wird \u201cCorumuel\u201d genannt und ist ein Fr\u00fchlings-\/Sommerph\u00e4nomen rund um La Paz. Mit seinen durchschnittlich 15 Knoten (rund 30 km\/h) macht er hier den Seglern das Leben schwer, denn die meisten Ankerbuchten sind in diese Himmelsrichtung offen. Dann bilden sich rund 1 m hohe Wellen, die zusammen mit dem Wind das Schiff am Anker hin- und her werfen. Es gibt auf der Nord- und Ostseite zwar auch Ankerbuchten, aber manchmal muss zwischen Pest und Cholera gew\u00e4hlt werden, denn zurzeit herrscht tags\u00fcber noch Nordwind. Nach dem obligaten Ankerbier pumpten wir unser Kajak auf und erkundeten den Strand. Da wir uns zwischen zwei Inseln befanden, verlief durch den Strand eine Art Kanal, durch den man auf dem Wasserweg auf die andere Seite gelangen konnte \u2013 aber nur mit einem kleinen Boot ohne grossen Tiefgang. Am Strand befand sich auch eine kleine Fischerbasis. Die Fischer waren vermutlich sowas wie Wochenaufenthalter dort. Am n\u00e4chsten Tag wollten wir die Ankerbucht wechseln und unser Gl\u00fcck in der 5 Seemeilen entfernten Ensenada Grande versuchen. Diese Bucht sollte auch ganz ok gesch\u00fctzt sein. Es waren 5 verdammt ungem\u00fctliche Seemeilen, denn die See war rau vom n\u00e4chtlichen Wind, und es hatte noch 15 Knoten Westwind. Und dann die Entt\u00e4uschung: Die Ankerbucht war schon voll mit grossen Motorbooten. Also mussten wir wieder umkehren, und einen Umweg fahren, damit wir die Wellen nicht genau von der Seite hatten. Und nat\u00fcrlich hatten wir nun auch noch die Str\u00f6mung gegen uns, was die Ungem\u00fctlichkeit noch weiter verl\u00e4ngerte. Wir bereuten mittlerweile unsere Entscheidung, die Caleta Partida verlassen zu haben.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-el-cardonal\">El Cardonal<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Doch wir fanden eine wundersch\u00f6ne leere Ankerbucht (Ensenada El Cardonal) und fanden uns erneut im Paradies wieder, eines das wir nun f\u00fcr uns allein hatten. Kaum hatten wir geankert stellte auch der Wind ab, und wir ruderten mit einem Picknick an Land. Abends konnten wir wieder unz\u00e4hlige Delfine mit ihren Babys beobachten. Die Kleinen sind sooooo niedlich, wenn sie and die Oberfl\u00e4che kommen, um Luft zu holen. Kurz vor Sonnenuntergang gesellte sich \u201cleider\u201d noch ein anderes Schiff neben uns. Das Schiff schwang hin- und her, schaukelte nach links und rechts und wippte hoch und runter. \u00dcberall knarzte und knorzte es und wir f\u00fchlten uns wie auf einer Achterbahn. Wir beide taten kaum ein Auge zu und warteten einfach nur darauf, dass es hell wurde und wir endlich verschwinden konnten. Total kaputt lichteten wir bei der ersten Gelegenheit den Anker und segelten zur\u00fcck zum ersten Ort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-we-are-disappointed\">Wir sind entt\u00e4uscht<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Wir wollten eigentlich nur noch schlafen, doch wir entschieden uns f\u00fcr eine kleine Kajak- und Schnorcheltour, wenn wir schon mal da waren. Und schlafen k\u00f6nnen wir in der Nacht \u2013 dachten wir. Leider war das Schnorcheln etwas entt\u00e4uschend, wieder einmal. Es muss mal voll mit Fischen gewesen sein. Ich m\u00f6chte mir gar nicht vorstellen, wie es dort in 10 Jahren aussehen wird. Der Mensch h\u00f6rt wohl erst auf, wenn alles zerst\u00f6rt ist. Daf\u00fcr klopfte jemand anders an: der Corumuel. Denn der Windwinkel hatte sich leicht ge\u00e4ndert und unser Ankerplatz (praktisch an der gleichen Stelle wie zwei N\u00e4chte zuvor) war nicht mehr gut gesch\u00fctzt. Anstatt einer ruhigen Nacht erlebten wir wieder den gleichen Sch@#$%, nur mit dem Unterschied, dass mehr Schiffe dort waren. Und mehr Schiffe bedeuten mehr Anker, die ausreissen k\u00f6nnen. In solchen Momenten verfluchen wir uns selbst, dass wir unsere gem\u00fctliche Wohnung gegen sowas eingetauscht haben. Manchmal fragen wir uns, wie viele Jahre wir mit diesem Lebensstil in dieser Zeit zus\u00e4tzlich altern... Als wir in La Paz waren, wollten wir weg. Und als wir weg waren, w\u00fcnschten wir uns wieder zur\u00fcck. Unser kleiner Wochenendausflug war nicht wirklich so, wie wir uns das vorgestellt hatten. Aber wir hatten nun den Corumuel kennengelernt und waren um eine Erfahrung reicher. Wir notieren in unserem Logbuch jeweils die Motorenstunden, wenn wir den Motor abstellen. So wissen wir immer, wie lange der Motor lief und wir k\u00f6nnen den Verbrauch und damit den erwarteten Tankstand berechnen. Gem\u00e4ss diesen Berechnungen musste in beiden Tanks rund 15 Gallonen (rund 60 l) nachf\u00fcllen. Wir packten unsere Kanister ins Dinghy, denn selbst an der Tankstelle Diesel holen ist etwa 20% g\u00fcnstiger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-outboard-strike-and-tacos\">Aussenborderstreik und Tacos<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Auf dem Weg streikte dann aber pl\u00f6tzlich unser Aussenborder. Rudernd kamen wir wegen der Str\u00f6mung leider auch nicht wirklich ans Ziel. Zum Gl\u00fcck kamen uns Hazel und Paul von SV Susimi entgegen und sie schleppten uns ab. Paul half uns auch direkt bei der Problemsuche. Es stellte sich heraus, dass dem Motor lediglich Benzin fehlte. Wir hatten das zwar draussen als erstes auch vermutet, doch wir kriegten ihn nicht zum Laufen. Der eine Tank war nach 10 Gallonen schon voll, der zweite nach 3.5 Gallonen. Das waren rund 33% und 75% weniger als erwartet. Wir rechneten mit 2.5 l\/h. Doch auch wenn ich die Standgaszeiten abzog, lag der Durchschnittsverbrauch beim einen Tank bei 1.9 l\/h und beim anderen Tank bei 0.9 l\/h. Die neue Einspritzpumpe schien einen positiven Einfluss auf den Verbrauch zu haben. Doch wir werden weiterhin mit 2.5 l\/h rechnen, um auf der sicheren Seite zu sein. Wir fahren \u00fcblicherweise mit 1200 U\/min und erreichen so 5 Knoten Geschwindigkeit bei nicht allzu st\u00f6rendem Motorenl\u00e4rm, was f\u00fcr uns perfekt ist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-optimal-speed\">Optimale Drehzahl<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Wir wissen aber nicht genau, wo die optimale Drehzahl liegt \u2013 es ist gut m\u00f6glich, dass sie etwas h\u00f6her liegt. Da aber verschiedene Variablen wie z.B. Wind und Str\u00f6mung den Verbrauch beeinflussen, m\u00fcssten wir ziemlich genaue Aufzeichnungen f\u00fchren, um es herauszufinden. Wir werden mal versuchen, etwas mit der Drehzahl zu experimentieren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-a-parting-gift\">Ein Abschiedsgeschenk<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>F\u00fcr das Osterwochenende planten wir wieder einen Ausflug zur Isla Espiritu Santo, denn unsere Seglerfreunde auf SV Alegria und SV Cavu sind vom Festland in die Baja zur\u00fcckgekehrt und wir wollten sie dort treffen. Doch bevor es so weit war, liess uns La Paz noch eine nicht so nette Erinnerung zur\u00fcck. Als wir vom Einkaufen zur\u00fcckkamen, sahen wir, dass unser Ankerstropp ausgeh\u00e4ngt war. Da gerade Wind gegen Str\u00f6mung herrschte, schob der Wind das Schiff \u00fcber unsere Ankerkette. Dabei fiel der Ankerstropp raus und die Ankerkette hinterliess Kratzer in unserem neuen Anstrich!!! Unser Ankerstropp wurde sofort in den Ruhestand geschickt und wir improvisierten einen neuen Ankerstropp aus zwei Dockleinen mit je einem Stopperstek (einem Knoten) um die Ankerkette.
